Jetpack Stats not refreshed automatically

Description
As reported by a user: if you disable Jetpack (and/or the Stats plugin bundled with it), the app will generate an error and ask you to log in as an administrator. Even if you re-add the credentials, it seems as if the app won't refresh the stats. This should be a much smoother experience.
