Apple have added support in OS 3.0 for a lot of accessibility features.
If you look under Settings -> General -> Accessibility you'll find things like White on Black and Zoom mode along with support for Voice Over.
I think we should look at how these features interact with the WordPress? application and if any of them are broken or need custom code to support the enhancements before we go ahead and add our own.

I am blind and use the iPhone 3G S with VoiceOver?. I just tried the current WordPress? from the App Store, I believe it's version 1.2.1. There are several issues:
- None of the things that obviously are buttons such as "More info" or "Add new blog", as well as when inside a blog the "Posts", "Comments" items etc, are identified as "button" by VoiceOver?. To VO, they appear as text labels, and it is not apparent that you can double-tap them (the VoiceOver? equivalent of tapping them) to activate. The same is true for the "Local drafts" items on both the "Posts" and "Pages" screens.
- In the "Compose" screen, the buttons following the "Categories" and "Status" labels are not labelled. For the text, there are two fields, one says "Tap here to begin writing", but there's another one following that that has no label.
- On the "comments" page, the button down at the bottom right is unlabelled.

The original ticket is no longer valid as those features are handled by the OS. But Marco's comments may point to problems with the way certain elements in the app were built, and should be checked out.

We will look to make the app more accessible on an ongoing basis.

This is something we should explore in the 1.3 design refresh.
